Dichroic Beverage Markers

Studio Art has created a line of wine glass charms exclusively for Wine Lover Accessories.  These drink identifiers are packaged as a group of four or six and are made by fusing glass.  This process is accomplished by firing compatible glass in the kiln to temperatures between 1300 and 1500 degrees.

Featured here are beverage markers made with Dichroic glass.  Dichroic glass is glass containing multiple micro-layers of metal oxides which give glass vibrancy.  The main characteristic of dichroic glass is that it is has a transmitted color and a completely different reflected color, as certain wavelengths of light either pass through or are reflected.  This causes an array of color to be displayed. The colors shift depending on the angle of view.  Keep in mind; it is difficult to capture the true beauty of dichroic glass in photos.  If you think it looks beautiful here, you will be thrilled to see it in person.
